Print your own lures. Catch with them. Leave nothing behind.

This isn’t just a filament.
It’s bait you can print.

The Fish Food Color Chromatic Filament is a water-soluble, nutrient-rich material made with real fish-attracting ingredients like shrimp, squid, and worm meal, combined with advanced light-transmitting properties to create lures that look and smell like the real thing.

It’s designed to do what traditional filaments can’t:
attract fish, perform in water, and then disappear without a trace.

What Makes It Different

This filament combines two powerful triggers fish rely on:

  • Scent & Taste: Real marine ingredients slowly release into the water, drawing fish in and encouraging them to bite and hold longer.

  • Visual Flash: High crystallinity and chromatic pigments create a shimmering, light-reactive effect, mimicking the flash of live bait and synthetic lures.

You’re no longer choosing between realism and visibility.
You get both, in one print.

How It Works

Once printed and placed in water:

  • The material gradually softens

  • Embedded nutrients begin to release into the surrounding water

  • Light passes through the structure, creating movement and shimmer

  • Fish are attracted by both scent and visual cues

After extended exposure, the filament will dissolve completely, leaving no plastic waste behind.

Why It Matters

With this filament, your 3D printer becomes a tool for:

  • Custom fishing lures

  • Environmentally responsible bait systems

  • Rapid prototyping of lure designs

  • Functional prints that interact with nature

You design it.
You print it.
You fish with it.

Beyond Fishing

This material also opens the door to creative applications:

  • Aquarium feeding tools

  • Slow-release enrichment objects

  • Decorative feeders for tanks or ponds

  • Educational and experimental designs

Printing Recommendations

  • Use a 0.8 mm nozzle for best results

  • Print at ~230°C nozzle / 90°C bed

  • Reduce flow rate to ~0.82

  • Print slower for better structure and consistency

  • Use a textured plate or adhesive for strong bed adhesion

Built on Timeplast Technology

Developed using our advanced material systems, this filament combines water solubility, functionality, and optical performance into a single printable solution.

From filament to fishing.
This is what happens when materials are designed to perform, not just exist.
