TimePaint - Texture is a fascinating product because it works on virtually any polar surface—from concrete walls and drywall to wood cabinetry and more. This makes it ideal for a wide variety of applications throughout the home.
To begin, apply a layer of TimePaint - Texture to your chosen surface. This paint creates a polar electrostatic matrix that enables the adhesion, fixation, and bonding of the surface with the decorative finish you want to achieve.
For example, if you want your kitchen cabinets to look like brushed aluminum without actually using aluminum, you can purchase aluminum powder separately. As soon as you apply the first layer of TimePaint - Texture, use a powder sprayer or disperser (which are very affordable) to apply the aluminum powder over the wet paint. The powder will adhere to and solidify within the paint, creating a realistic metallic look. You can adjust the amount of powder applied depending on the effect you want.
Important Safety Tip: Always wear a mask when applying powdered materials. Whether you're using metal or another type of powder, it's important to avoid inhaling these particles, as they can be toxic.
We also highly recommend applying an additional layer of clear protective coating—such as TimePaint - Nothing—over the dried powder. This final layer will lock the texture in place, preserving the finish for many years to come and protecting it from wear, moisture, and environmental damage.
