Timeplast Desiccant Filament is a new class of functional 3D printing material designed for makers, engineers, and product teams who need reliable, integrated moisture control. Instead of relying on generic silica packets, this filament lets you print desiccant components in any shape or geometry tiles, grids, cartridges, inserts, or custom parts tailored exactly to your application.
The filament is built on our polar, hydrophilic Timeplast base and compounded with approximately 5% (by mass) of 3A molecular sieve (zeolite). This combination is key: while most plastics are hydrophobic and block moisture from reaching embedded fillers, Timeplast actively allows moisture to diffuse through the printed part, transporting it to the zeolite, which then selectively captures and retains water molecules. The result is a printed desiccant that actually works, not just a filler-loaded plastic.
With Timeplast Desiccant Filament, you can create:
Desiccant tiles or squares for bins, cases, and toolboxes
Custom inserts for packaging and shipping
Snap-in or reusable desiccant cartridges
Humidity stabilizers for drawers, cabinets, and storage systems
Moisture-control components for cameras, optics, electronics, and small enclosures
For best performance, designs with high surface area such as lattices, vented grids, honeycombs, or thin-walled structures, are recommended to maximize air exposure and moisture adsorption.
This filament represents a new category of functional materials: one that goes beyond appearance and delivers real, measurable performance. It allows you to print moisture control on demand, optimize it for your constraints, and integrate it directly into your products or storage solutions.
Available now in limited quantities.
Print your desiccant. Control moisture your way.
